This design presupposes an EJB 3.0 app, using Servlets and Java Server Pages. However the model works regardless of the architecture.

This startup business is a work in progress. One of my Humber College Professors and some of my fellow students from our graduating class have started a business.
My designs for Database and Work Flow were selected for the project, but my choice of platform wasn't. I had hoped to add a Java EE 7 EJB 3.0 Derby project to my portfolio, but it looks as though we're going with PHP and MySql.
The slides show my design work for the project. I'll include a link once it's online!

The primary requirement is to enable users to create a list of synonyms to match their job titles, tools and skills to a job requirement, then generate a resume. Of course you have to enter your complete work and education history - but only once!
The secondary requirement is to organize the tailored resume submissions and job requirements for easy retrieval. I decided on a Windows Explorer-style GUI, since there are so many categories of information to track.

I am designing and building this project in order to help me generate resumes that are tailored to job requirements and help manage my job search. This is a work in progress.
Originally written in VB6 during summer break 2013, I tried to convince our assigned team to use the design for a team assignment in our Project Management course, final semester.
I hope to make it a multi-user C# ASP app. I'll include a link once it's online!
I decided to decouple the rooms and rates, so rates could have an independent process that could optionally include consideration of the bed arrangement of a room. The central object is the Guest Stay: representing both a reservation and stay at a hotel.
Reservationist and Administrator are the roles of users of the system
The Menu feature of HTML4 is used here to extend the regular context menu to provide application features. In this case, right-clicking on a room provides an add/edit/delete popup menu.

This project started out as an assignment in my final semester course on Distributed Java Programming. This is my first attempt at using Entity and Session Beans, connection pooling, and an Apache Derby database.
I'm hoping to properly complete this application and find a hosting sight. I feel that this is important technology and I want to develop more skill in this area.
